They are spiritual beings, pocessing emmense wisdom and power, whom act as intermediaries between dieties and mankind, often aiding them with some form of guidance or protection as well as charging them with divine tasks.
They are most often depicted as benevolent, beautiful winged beings or intense bright lights, that radiate a warmth and calming effect on those in their presence and for this reason their arrival is generally considered as positive experience.
