These hardy little folk hail from the frozen north, where their skills are truly put to the test.
The frosty terrain yields very little in return for their tireless work and the lifestyle under such harsh and sometimes hostile conditions can be arduous and unforgiving, but they are dedicated to their cause, in assisting Mother Nature whenever and most importantly wherever possible.
In such an extreme climate living above ground level is not much of an option due to the unpredictability of weather conditions and the problems, as well as dangers it can create. Therfore deep burrows beneath rocky surfaces and large tree roots are a prefered habitat. These burrows are far from the likes of local wildlife, and can be a huge network of tunnels with adjoining rooms and large open spaces, designed to accomodate entire communities including areas for crafting, trade, meeting places and much more.
