Wood Gnomes

Also known as Forest Gnomes or Woodland Gnomes, these kind hearted little folk can be found dwelling within heavily wooded areas of land located far from civilization and the likes of mankind.
Garbed in more earthier colours than their cousins the common Gnomes, they will work tirelessly maintaining and nurturing their surroundings, but on a significantly larger scale, often operating in large numbers as an organized work force.
This will often bring them into direct conflict with the likes of Wood Goblins or Hobgoblins, whom are constantly pushing forward in an attempt to extent the borders of their territories, undoing much of the hard work completed by the Wood Gnomes in the process.
Just like most gnomish cultures, they are very social (within their own kind), choosing to live in large communities, using burrows, hollowed trees or creating their own unique structures (if the region is safe enough) as habitats.
